Hey there, this is Richard.  I am writing this page to document my search for domestic wind turbine information.  While finding information on wind power in general was pretty straight forward, it was not quite so easy to find good information on wind turbines for the home.

It’s pretty clear that wind power has taken hold as a viable source of energy for our homes.  But most wind power comes from large farms of massive commercial grade wind turbines.  These are the big white (usually) wind mills you see driving down the highway slowly turning in the wind.

What isn’t quite as common is a small wind turbine that powers a home or something along those lines.  I’d be willing to bet that most of you haven’t even seen one.  We’re not talking about the wind mills you found on a farm somewhere.  Those were certainly wind power generators, but they used wind power to move water instead of generating electricity.

Anyhow, back to the topic at hand, I spent quite a long time looking for good domestic wind turbine data that was real, as opposed to industry hype.  This site is dedicated to what I found.
